Students, faculty and staff were celebrating finals week
and the end of fall semester in a big way on the campus of Northeastern Junior College this week. Among festivities held to mark the end of the year was a good ole' fashion head shaving.

The Northeast Colorado Department of Health gave a total of 331 vaccinations over the five-hour period, and more than a third of those were done within the first hour the clinic was open.

The winter storm this weekend held off Saturday morning for a special fundraising event for the Northeast Colorado Cancer Resource Association.  Excited children gathered with their parents at the Sterling Municipal Airport for a morning of take offs  and landings.

H1N1 Clinic Scheduled for Sat. Nov. 14th

The Northeast Colorado Health Department has scheduled a large walk-in H1N1 vaccination clinic on Saturday, Nov. 14 in Sterling. This public will be held at the departments’ district headquarters located at 700 Columbine St. and will run from 10- a.m. – 3 p.m. or until the vaccine runs out.

DENVER - Frontier Airlines announced on Thursday evening that Republic Airways Holdings won the auction for the Denver-based airline and not rival Southwest Airlines.

DENVER - Southwest Airlines is primed to take over Frontier Airlines in an auction that starts later this week after Southwest confirmed on Monday it had put in a bid for more than $170 million for the Denver-based airline.
